Ed Slattery spent his twenties employed by Mobil Oil Company. His career began working as a sales and technical representative for Mobil Oil Chemical Paint Division. Ed became the Eastern Regional Manager of the United States. His duties were supervisory, spending 80% of his time in the field. He called on contractors, end-users, hotels, shopping centers, management companies, high rises, car dealers, malls, residential homes, apartments, hospitals, laboratories, government, commercial, marine, shipping industries, and many more. He taught end-users about coatings and their different uses. The long-term relationship of Ed Slattery, his employees, customers, and end-users was imperative. Ed was well respected in the industry and achieved great success.

At the beginning of his 30th year, he moved on to his own business as a painting contractor, completing 42 years in business. Ed owned and operated his own painting companies. He gained a plethora of expertise that was only achievable through a desire for knowledge, combined with ethics and meeting the need of his diverse customers. The most important was a lifetime of experience.   

John Rasch was a Hofstra College Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business Management. He then went on to work on Wall Street for five years.

John worked for Ed Slattery during his high school and college years. The painting business always seemed to interest John.

Ed Slattery shared his vision with John and asked him if he would consider taking a Vice President job with his company and a twenty percent ownership through stock options. The stock options would mature into ownership twenty-four months from the day he started. John continually took on more responsibility as a valued member of a partnership. John found his calling and was rewarded financially continuously over the years becoming an invaluable visionary. John successfully obtained and maintained accounts. His dedication to customer service and satisfaction cultivated new partnerships and reestablished dormant accounts. He implemented successful target marketing campaigns. He excelled at client development, territory management, and customer service and has an intense interest in new product knowledge. John implemented ongoing staff training programs and employee development. New product introduction productivity analysis was a major priority. Safety and OSHA training was a priority of our employees and customers. He was a tireless partner and a force for excellence.

John’s dad became sick and five years later passed away. At the same time Ed wanted to move to Florida to be near his three children and three grandchildren.  Ed sold his business and John was hired by a large painting contractor on Long Island, New York, where his dad lived. He ran some of the largest projects on Long Island. The long-term plan was for Ed and John to open a Painting Company in Florida together. John has twenty years of experience. The company would be owned eighty percent by John and twenty percent by Ed Slattery.
